Active Issue: 2022 Model Policy Proposal

On September 16th, 2022, the Youngkin Administration released 2022 Model Policies on the Privacy, Diginity, and Respect for all Studentes and Parents in Virginia’s Public Schools for the Virginia Department of Education. In this proposal, the Youngkin administration reverses the 2021 Model Policies that protected the health and safety of transgender children in our education systems. VCQC challenges this policy for the safety and well-being of all transgender youth in Virginia.
ABOUT US
We are the largest task force dedicated to Queer liberation in the state of Virginia. We were founded by three Queer organizations at the University of Virginia. We consist of members across multiple Queer organizations at universities across the state of Virginia. We seek to challenge anti-LGBTQ2+ state legislation through activism, education, and outreach.
